A wall for protection against noise is constructed from beams made of reinforced concrete. Each beam has a square cross-section with recesses (3) formed in its upper surface. These recesses (3) extend along the length of the beam and are separated from each other by small areas (1) which are flush with the full height of the beam. These recesses (3) collect any rainwater and their depth measured from the full height of the beam is less than half the beam height. Each recess (3) is provided with a sloping outlet channel (7). USE - Erection of noise barriers.
