<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the consecutive recording by inputting a horizontal synchronizing signal and a vertical synchronizing signal, which are extracted by a synchronization separating circuit, to control part, discriminating the presence of a video signal and performing a pause control based on a discriminating result in the case of a video recording mode. CONSTITUTION:In the case of no video signal to be impressed upon a video input terminal 1 under the state of the video recording mode, a mechanism part 6 is set to be under the pausing state by the control part 3, so that a video recording operation is controlled not to make progress. Then, when the input signal is in existence, the pausing state is released, resuming the normal video recording. Consequently, at the time of performing the consecutive recording, the setting/releasing of pause is automatically carried out only by switching on/off the video signal. Then, even in other cases than the consecutive recording, the pause is automatically set before the video signal is inputted, and at the time when the input is performed, the pause is released and the normal video recording is commenced. By this method, the consecutive recording can be facilitated.</p> |
