The splicing device has a base (1) with two attached clamps (2) each with a press element (8) cooperating with a seating (9) locating a blank optical fibre end. The optical fibre can be rotated about its longitudinal axis prior to splicing via an alignment shaft (17) with continuous angular adjustment incorporating a V-shaped slot and two cooperating clamping tongues (19) for the optical fibre. The clamping tongues (19) are operated abnd released via a slider (20) displaced relative to the base (1). USE - For alignment and splicing of optical fibres with given polarisation. |
