PURPOSE:To improve braking force by embedding a carbon conductive member divided into parts with a predetermined length along the flow of an eddy current generated by a stator and mutually permitting a thermal expansion between a rotor and the divided parts. CONSTITUTION:When a stator 7 is moved to a magnetically permeable part by an actuator 14, an eddy current is generated on the inner peripheral face of a drum type rotor 4 by a relative speed-difference between the rotating rotor 4 and fixed stator 7. Because a carbon conductive member 15 in a ladder shape embedded in the inner peripheral face of the rotor 4 along an eddy current path giving a reduction braking to an output shaft 1 is smaller in electric resistance than the rotor 4 made of Fe, the eddy current flows in the manner of centering on the carbon conductive member 15. |
