PURPOSE:To enhance the preserving characteristic and prevent the voltage from deviating from the nominal value in the manufacturing process by forming a cell case and a pos. electrode ring from a steel with respective specified contents of Mo and Cr. CONSTITUTION:A cell case 1 working also as a pos. electrode terminal is made of a steel containing 1-3 wt.% Mo and 15-20 wt.% Cr. Neg. electrode active substance 3 of alkali metal is attached by pressure to a sealing plate 2. A pos. electrode ring 4 consists of the same steel material and is in contact with the case 1. Pos. electrode black mix 5 consists of an admixture of MnO2 as active substance, acetilene black, and binder of fluoric resin, followed by molding of the admixture into pellets. This use of the mentioned steel to the case 1 and the same type of material to the ring 4 can suppress rise in the internal resistance of cell when it is stored at a high temp., and also ensures processing easiness of the case 1, which eliminates the voltage deviation from its nominal value. |
