PURPOSE:To make it possible to manufacture laminated piezoelectric ceramic elements which transfer at a right angle to their lamination direction by laminating a thermistor material having a negative temperature characteristic and a piezoelectric ceramic material in sheet shape alternately, then calcining them in one piece, and then polarizing the calcined body at a specified temperature. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric ceramic layer 12 made of a vanadium oxide ceramic material, which reduces electric resistance drastically and turns into an electric conductor at a specified temperature higher than a curing temperature of a piezoelectric ceramic material which comprises lead titanate zirconate ceramic material and an internal electrode layer 14, is molded in sheet shape at a specified thickness respectively. They are heated, contact bonded and calcined in one piece after the lamination. Then, polarization treatment is carried out in an oil bath 22 by an polarization power supply 24. When an attempt is made to define the temperature of oil 20 higher than the aforesaid specified temperature and lower than the curing temperature of the layer 12, the layer 14 will turn into an insulator at an ordinal service temperature of an element 10 and function only as a bonding layer for the layer 12. |
