<p>PURPOSE:To make an apparatus compact in size without requiring complicated adjustment or using an expensive component by providing a first optical waveguide array for guiding a reflected light or transmitted light from a source document to a reading element and a second optical waveguide array for guiding a laser light projected from a laser source to a photosensitive body on the basis of the read information. CONSTITUTION:A light 26 projected from a light source 3 is, passing through a red color separating filter 4, reflected by a source document 1. The reflected light 27 is condensed at an incidence port 8 of a first optical waveguide array 7 by a rod lens array 25 and projected outside the array 7 through a light emitting port 9. The reflected light 27 is read by a reading element 12. The read information is transmitted to a control device at a substrate 24 via a cable 22 and sent to a laser source 15 through cable 23. When the laser source 15 emits the laser light 27 upon receipt of a lighting signal, the laser light 27 is incident upon a second optical waveguide array 16 through the incidence port 17 and projected outside the second optical waveguide array 16 from a light emitting port 18. Accordingly, a complicated adjustment is not necessitated, and an apparatus is realized in a compact size without an expensive part.</p> |
