PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a short circuit between a generation part and a lead part by making the diameter of an ignition pad smaller than the outer diameter of the generation part at the position where the pad opposes the lead part. CONSTITUTION:The shape of an ignition pad 1-a is made concentric with the outer diameter of a generation part, and the generation part is, for example, cylindrical. The ignition pad 1-a is in direct contact with a fuse zone 4, and combustion smoothly propagates from the ignition pad 1-a to the fuse zone 4. Also, the ignition pad 1-a is cut out in an insulation layer part 6 adjacent to lead plates 2 and 3, and made smaller in diameter. The ignition pad 1-a, therefore, is not in contact with an insulation layer. According to the aforesaid construction, a distance between the output lead plate 2 and the ignition pad 1-a becomes large. Consequently, dielectric breakdown does not take place between the output lead plate 2 and the ignition pad 1-a, thereby enabling avoiding the occurrence of a short circuit between the generation part and the lead part. |
