PURPOSE: To uniformly supply toner to plural arrays or apertures in a print head structure by providing a mandrel with a flat area and positioning the mandrel so that the flat area is arranged adjacently to arrays of apertures in the print head structure. CONSTITUTION: Toner 20 is stuck onto a donor belt 24 by using a magnetic brush structure, and this belt 24 is wound around not only a still mandrel 25 but also a drive roll 21 and an idle roll 24. The mandrel 25 is positioned so as to face the print head structure, and a part of the belt 24 is arranged in the middle between them. This mandrel 25 is provided with a flat area 14 on the same level as the print head structure 14. This flat part 19 has the same spread as the space occupied by aperture arrays in a print head 14 to provide a uniform space between each array of apertures 36 and the toner supply belt. Thus, toner is uniformly distributed with respect to the perforated print head structure. |
