PURPOSE:To arrange the constitution such that the projections of the spacers between pancakes become the guides for insertion of insulating taper wedges and that the wedges can be inserted into the specified positions around a superconductive coil thereby elevating the cooling efficiency by cooling channels by providing plural pieces of projections projecting from the outside of a superconductive coil, around the peripheries of the spacers between pancakes. CONSTITUTION:In pancake coils, which are formed by winding a specified number of superconductors, and a superconductive coil 1, which is constituted by stacking plural pieces of the pancake coils, plural pieces of projections projecting from the outside of the coil 1 are provided around the spacers 2 between the pancakes. For example, the spacers 2 between the pancakes arranged radially project from the outside of the superconductive coil 1, whereby they become the guide for insertion of insulating taper wedges 3a and 3b, and also cooling channels 5 are formed. Hereby, the superconductive coil 1 is pressed firmly by the insulating taper wedges 3a and 3b, and quenching can be prevented, and also the cooling channel secured surely, and a superconductive coil having stable performance obtained. |
