PURPOSE:To obtain the mixed powder of boron nitride and aluminum nitride which is capable of producing a mixed, sintered and molded body free from dispersion of physical properties and excellent in density and strength, etc., by heating the mixture of a raw material consisting of boron oxide powder, aluminum oxide powder and carbon powder in the atmosphere of nitrogen. CONSTITUTION:The mixed powder of a raw material which consists of boron oxide powder and/or boron powder, aluminum oxide powder and/or aluminum hydroxide powder and carbon powder and/or carbonacecus substance powder is heated at >=900 deg.C in the atmosphere of nitrogen or nitrogen-contg. compd., reduced and nitrified. As the rate of blending the respective components in the mixture of the raw material, boron oxide and aluminum oxide are regulated to 1-23mol% respectively and a carbon source is preferably regulated to >=76mol% expressed in terms of carbon. Particle size of the respective powdery raw materials is preferably regulated to 0.1-1000mum mean particle diameter respectively. |
