PURPOSE:To simplify temp. control by lowering the temp. of a heat source such as a heat roller by providing an adhesive layer to the rear of a material to be transferred having an image formed thereto by transfer. CONSTITUTION:A coupling medium 1 formed by providing a thermoplastic resin layer 3 and a coupler layer 4 on a base sheet 2. The light from a light source 30 passes through the transmitting part 20a of a manuscript 20 and the microcapsules 11a of a photosensitive pressure-sensitive medium 10 are exposed to be cured. The photosensitive surface of the photosensitive pressure-sensitive medium 10 is superposed on the coupling medium and pressed to destruct the uncured microcapsules 11b and a dye precursor flows out to the coupler layer 4 to form a color and the mirror image of the image of the manuscript 20 is formed. The surface of the coupler layer 4 of the coupling medium 1 and the surface of a material to be transferred as well as the rear of the material to be transferred and the surface of the adhesive layer 6 of an adhesive sheet 8 are superposed one upon another to be bonded under heating and pressure. The coupler and binder in the coupler layer 4 are melted to be bonded to the surface of the material to be transferred. The adhesive layer 6 is softened to be bonded to the rear of the material to be transferred. The base sheet 2 of the coupling medium and the base sheet 7 of the adhesive sheet 8 are released and an image is formed to the material to be transferred and the adhesive layer is provided to the rear thereof. |
