PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of printing quality without generating trailing of toner image by controlling a heat insulating means so that at the start of image formation of the device the temperature is held at a first temperature, and at the stopped time of the image formation it is held at the second temperature which is lower than the first temperature. CONSTITUTION:An image carrier 10 of no edge state, toner image formation means 11 to 13 which form the toner image on the image carrier 10, a means 8 to insulate heat of the image carrier 10 to a specified temperature, and a control part 5 which controls the action of the device are provided. Then, whether it is the image forming action time of the device or not is judged by a control means 5, the heat insulating temperature of the heat insulating means 8 is set to the first temperature at the time of non image forming action, and at the time of image forming action, the heat insulating temperature of the heat insulating means 8 is set to the second temperature which is higher than the first temperature. Thus, there is no generation of trailing of toner image slurring after the start of the image forming action, and there is no generation of deterioration of the printing quality. |
