In a battery electronic apparatus such as a miniaturised radio frequency transmitter comprising a box (10) within which are housed electronic circuits (12, 14) and an interchangeable battery (18) it is proposed to place the battery in a housing (24) formed in a removable guard (20) normally held in place by a slide (46). A single access opening (28) formed in the box thus makes it possible to replace the battery (after removing a cover) (30), without risking damaging the electronic circuits which are protected by the guard (20) and, when necessary, to attend to these circuits after removing the guard. <IMAGE>
