The process for the manufacture by hydraulic binding of a nonwoven from unbleached cotton or other lignocellulose fibres, according to any one of Claims 1 to 7 of French Patent Application 89 15892, consisting in imparting, by means of the entangling treatment, a sufficient quantity of energy to make the said nonwoven hydrophilic is characterised in that it consists: - in forming an unbound sheet comprising at least 70 % of the said unbleached cotton fibres or of other natural lignocellulose fibres comprising at the surface a sheath of hydrophobic matter, and depositing it on a permeable cloth, - in subjecting a first face of the said sheet to a treatment of entangling by means of water jets, - depositing on the second face, facing away from the first, at least one sheet of cellulose wadding and subjecting the second face thus coated to a treatment of entangling by means of water jets. <IMAGE> |
