PURPOSE:To reduce the variation of a recording start position on paper by a method wherein an image forming start signal is generated by a timing signal generation means independently of the timing of a CPU control means. CONSTITUTION:An initial value is determined so that a time obtained by subtracting a time required of a latent image printed on an image forming drum by a printing head to develope and reach a transfer position from a time required of a recording start position on paper to reach the transfer position after the detection of the paper by a paper sensor can be equal to a time obtained by multiplying a count number based on an initial value preset in a down counter 4 by the pulse width of a clock 8. Therefore, at the time of an image recording operation, independently of the timing of a CPU 1, a printing signal 6 is turned ON with the delay of the time obtained by multiplying the count number based on the count data as an initial set value by the clock pulse width from a paper detection signal 5 issued from the paper sensor. At this time, only an error corresponding to one pulse width of the clock 8 is permitted. |
