PURPOSE:To manufacture a rare earth-ferrous magnet having superior characteristics by providing the rare earth-ferrous magnet with a domain having enhanced coersive force and a domain having enhanced residual magnetic flux density so as to give both high coersive force and high residual magnetic flux density to the rare earth-ferrous magnet. CONSTITUTION:An R-Fe-B rare earth-ferrous magnet has a composition represented by the formula. In the formula, R consists of one or more types of rare earth elements selected from those including Y, X one or more types of rare earth elements B, C, N, Si, and P, M one or more types or rare earth elements Ti, Zr, Hf, V, etc., with relationships of 0.60<=alpha<=0.85, 0<=beta<=0.15, and 0<=gamma<=0.02 being satisfied, and the rare earth-ferrous magnet has a domain with enhanced coersive force and a domain with enhanced residual magnetic flux density so as to give both high coersive force and high residual magnetic flux density to the rare earth-ferrous magnet, thereby enabling the rare earth- ferrous magnet to have a residual magnetic flux density necessary for use in the rotor of a motor and to have a coersive force great enough to start the motor. |
