PURPOSE:To improve the operation rate and reliability of a printer by operating a sheet delivery means again even with generation of a paper feeding slip so as to lower the generation probability of a paper feeding slip in a marked degree. CONSTITUTION:When a cut sheet 2 is not delivered from a paper feeding hopper 1 even with the operation of a sheet delivery means 3 by a paper feed signal, a sheet delivery error is detected by a sheet sensor 5, and the sheet delivery means 3 is operated again by this detection signal. Only when the cut sheet 2 is not delivered even after repeating this run of action once or plural times and the sheet delivery error is still detected by the sheet sensor 5, the real sheet delivery error is judged and a printer is controlled to stop. |
