PURPOSE:To surely realize a hollow in a sleeve without using a wire and manufacture a long sleeve by dipping a sleeve tubularly braided with heat-resistant fibers in a heat-resistant paint, inserting the sleeve between a pair of pressing rolls to remove the excess impregnated paint, inserting the sleeve thus obtained between a pair of rolls to reproduce a hollow, then baking the whole. CONSTITUTION:A heat-resistant paint is sufficiently filled in a paint tank in advance, a sleeve made of heat-resistant fibers is dipped in it, and the heat- resistant paint is sufficiently impregnated. The sleeve is inserted between a pair of pressing rolls, and the excess heat-resistant paint impregnated into the sleeve is removed to realize a proper impregnation quantity. The sleeve is inserted between a pair of contact or noncontact mating rolls to reproduce a hollow in the sleeve. The whole sleeve with a reproduced hollow is baked at the temperature 300 deg.C or above to manufacture the insulating sleeve. The paint impregnation quantity can be adjusted properly and easily by squeezing the sleeve with the rolls, the sleeve is squeezed by the next rolls from the separate angle, thus a hollow can be reproduced in the sleeve. |
