PURPOSE:To enable a player to control a musical sound by changing the shape of his or her mouth. CONSTITUTION:When test sound consisting of noises or impulsive sound wave, made from audio or ultrasonic frequency from a test sound generator etc., is sent in the player's mouth a response sound which varies owing to resonance, delay, etc., corresponding to shapes of the oral cavity, tongue, etc., of the player is received. The test sound generating means is so constituted that the test signal generated by, for example, a test signal generator is converted into a sound by an electroacoustic converter such as a speaker; and the receiving means is, for example, a microphone. The response sound signal which is the output of the receiving means is sent to a musical sound control means to control the timbre, pitch, sound volume, etc., of a musical sound signal generated by the musical sound generating means. Consequently, the musical sound which varies in timbre corresponding to the motion of the mouth and tongue of the player is generated by a sound system including an amplifier and the speaker. |
