PURPOSE:To prevent the ply crack of a FRP formed article due to thermal stress from by absorbing and relaxing the thermal stress at heating and pressing treatment by a method wherein the heating and pressing treatment is performed under the condition that cushioning material is interposed nearly middle in a preformed body consisting of laminates of prepreg. CONSTITUTION:At the lamination of tape-like prepreg 11 on the outer periphery of a mandrel 10, when the lamination thickness reaches the half of the lamination thickness (t) necessary for a formed article, one ply of cushioning material 13 is laminated to the prepreg 11. As the cushioning material 13, material having the property that no elasticity deteriorates even at curing is used and concretely either one of silicone rubber, chloroprene rubber and butyl rubber is used in consideration of the abrasion at the burning of a rocket motor. After that, prepreg 11 is further laminated onto the cushioning material so as to repeat the lamination of prepreg until the lamination thickness (t) necessary for the formed article is reached. The obtained preformed body 14 is put in an autoclave and subjected to heating and pressing treatment so as to obtain an FRP formed article. Thus, no crack is induced in the formed article at heating and relieving treatment. |
