The service equipment has a cylindrical tank (1) with a plastics liner (2). The top of the equipment has an electric motor (13) which selectively drives a hydraulic pump (5) or a pneumatic pump (9) via belt drives. The pneumatic pump vents the hydraulic brake system of the vehicle and the hydraulic pump applies fresh fluid. A switching valve (11) selects either flow. The hydraulic fluid is pumped through a filter (6) to prevent foaming. A selector switch (17) operates either pump and a manometer (12) controls the venting pressure. The fresh hydraulic fluid is pumped through the brake system until non-aerated fluid is vented. ADVANTAGE - Removes all of old fluid with min. wastage.
