A saddle support for tanks comprising at least one vertically positioned web, whereas the webs are parallel to each other and connected with connecting rods and topped permanently with a belt on which preferably a flexible pad is situated, and the top edge of the web together with the belt and pad have a profile that matches the jacket shape of the tank lying on it, characterised in that in the top part of both sides (5) of the webs (8) there are splines (4) of variable rigidity, whose bottom edges (10) are made of arcs widening upwards the sides (5) of the web (8) and/or in the middle part (6) of the support's web (8) there are openings (7).<IMAGE>
