A method of discharging generally flowable sewage, according to which sewage is transported through a trench opened in two phases: in the first phase covering 70 to 90% of route length, sewage is transported with the speed from 0.9 to 2.5 m/s, and in the second phase, the flow speed is decreased and ranges from 0.7 to 1.5 m/s, and in the first phase, sewage is aerated until excess oxygen from 0.4 to 0.6 mg O2/dm<3> is obtained, and in the final part of the second phase, suspended matter is separated by setting apart the sewage stream a useful stream of volume of up to 15% of maximal sewage flow from the whole sewage stream, directing such a stream, to a known mechanical and biological sewage-treatment plant, and the remaining sewage is directed to the receiving body of water after it is mechanically pre-treated according to main patent no 147937, characterised in that in the first phase of sewage transport, preferably in its first half, excess activated sludge from sewage-treatment plant is put into sewage in the amount ofL = (0.1-0.4) Q X Z,where L - is the load of dry substance of activated sludge expressed in kg/h, Q - is the flow of raw sewage in the trench in m<3>/h, Z - stands for concentration of organic pollutants expressed in BZT5 (kg O2/m<3>).
