A camera for X-ray examination of liquid crystals where examined sample is placed on an optical holder between two windows through which monochromatised beam of X-ray radiation is passed. The windows (6, 6') of the optical holder are stop plates made of boron monocrystal and the beam of X-ray radiation passing through the windows (6, 6') is preferably formed by means of a focusing monochromator (2).<IMAGE>
