The cigarette pack cartons are formed by gluing together overlapping flaps. Immediately after gluing, the packs are inserted in pockets in the periphery of a rotary drier (14). The pockets are shaped to hold the pack in its required form. After leaving the first drier the packets are transferred to a second rotary drier (18), which retains group of packs temporarily until the adhesive has set.
