The frame consists of a kit of components for self assembly including guide rails into which plates are inserted. When assembled it forms a funnel shaped object which is let into the ground and anchored there by barbed spikes which are driven through reinforced holes around the top rim, and also through the middle of the object, into the ground. The holes are reinforced by backing plates under the rim so positioned as to direct the spikes on an inclines plane into the ground. ADVANTAGE - Lessens the arduous task of weeding around plants.
