PURPOSE:To obtain a poring nozzle excellent in erosion resistance and to relax the unfavorable influence of heat shock and thermal expansion by constituting the lower part of inclined plate side including a discharging hole in the pouring nozzle with a refractory having the specific contents of ZrO2 and C. CONSTITUTION:To the lower part of inclined plate side including the discharging hole 4c in the pouring nozzle, material having composition of 50-80wt.% ZrO2 and 20-50wt.% C is used. As a method for integrally forming, the materials made of Al2O3-based refractory are used to the upper part and ZrO2-based refractory to the lower part, by applying powder metallurgical technique utilizing CIP or HIP method or sintering the material manufactured with slip casting. By this invention, injection molten steel stream, which is stable for long time in low cost, is injected on the inclined plate and the wide strip excellent in surface characteristic can be easily produced. |
