METHOD FOR APPLICATION OF DYE ON MOVING LENGTH MATERIAL

A moving lengthy material (1) is passed through a reservoir (3) with a liquid (6) on the surface of which is fed a dye non-soluble in the liquid (6) in a quantity sufficient for providing a dye film (9) on the surface of the liquid. The dye film thus obtained (9) is continuously removed by the moving material (1) at the place (10) where it intersects the dye film (9). The thickness of the obtained film (9) is controlled by means of its redistribution on the surface of the liquid.
