ACTUATOR CONTROL METHOD OF HARD DISC DRIVER

The method is for minimizing the damage on a hard disk by moving the head periodically when no hard disk access signal is received. The method compirses steps: (A) checking that the stand-by state of the hard disk exceeds a certain time; (B) reading the track number on which the head is placed; (C) checking on which side from a center track the head is placed; (D) moving the track the inner side of the center track for a certain tracks when the head is placed on the outer side and returning to the stand-by state; and (E) moving the head to the outer side of the center track when the head is placed on the inner side of the center track and returning to the stand-by state.
