"Collision-friendly" stand for use in the erection of roadsigns at the side of the roadway. A tubular framework stand for roadsigns erected at the side of the roadway is designed and fastened to the foundation plate by foundation plates in such a manner that the stand can be freed from the foundation and break in a manner which reduces the danger to which a road user is exposed in the event of colliding with the stand. See Figure 3. The design of the stand is characterized in that the front stand leg 1 is, from the lower edge of the sign 7 to the foundation 2, not connected to the rest of the tubular framework, and as the foundation plate 2 can, in the event of a collision, be pushed out of its engagement with the foundation bolts, the stand leg 1 can be bent backwards without particular resistance to the collision. In the event of a slightly more forceful collision, in which the diagonal strut 4 and the rear stand leg 5 are also struck, the foundation plate 6 is also capable of being pushed out of its engagement with the foundation bolts, and it will therefore also be less dangerous for the road user to strike this part of the stand than to strike current stands. A simple embodiment of the stand, see Figure 5, can be used in particular for smaller signs, for example traffic signs which are to be erected on a simple stand. <IMAGE>
