09911 AERIAL LIFT INCLUDING APPARATUS FOR REDUCING TOLERANCE AT PIVOT JOINTS An aerial lift includes a first elongate boom pivotally mounted by a first pivot assembly to a rotatable support. A first hydraulic cylinder means is coupled by a second pivot assembly to the support and by a third pivot assembly to the first boom intermediate the ends thereof. A second elongate boom is pivotally mounted adjacent the other end of the first boom and a second hydraulic cylinder is coupled by a fourth pivot to the first boom. A linkage is coupled to the second cylinder by a fifth pivot assembly and by a fifth pivot assembly to the second boom. Each of the pivot assemblies comprises a pair of spaced-apart holes defining a pivot axis and a pin extending into the holes and being spaced therefrom and a clamp disposed between each of the holes and the pin and includes a first clamp ring engageable with the pin and a second clamp ring engageable with the periphery of the hole through which said pin extends and an adjustable ring for selectively forcing the first and second clamp rings into pressure engagement with the pin and the hole periphery, respectively.
