PURPOSE:To prevent thermal deterioration of a material in the molding process of a metal catalyst carrier and to improve adhesion property of a catalyst layer, with respect to the metalic catalyst carrier and its production. CONSTITUTION:Metal flat plates 1 and metal wavy plates 2 are alternately laminated to form a temporal base body 10 for a metal catalyst carrier (process (i)). Then a heat-resistant inorg. adhesive 4 is applied on the contact area 3 of the metal flat plates 1 and the metal wavy plates 2 (process (iii)) and dried to manufacture the base body 20 (process (iv)) for the metal catalyst carrier comprising metal flat plates 1 and metal wavy plates 2 fixed with a heat- resistant inorg. adhesive 4. Then catalyst is deposited on this body 20 (process (v)). |
