PURPOSE:To offer the low-power-consumption, high-definition reflection type liquid crystal display device which has a wide visual angle and also has a display picture made bright and is reducible in driving voltage at low cost as a macromolecule dispersed type liquid crystal display device formed by dispersing liquid crystal in macromolecules in three-dimensional net structure. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal display device uses a varistor element 13 consisting principally of zinc oxide as an active matrix element, has the liquid crystal provided between a lower transparent substrate 10 and an upper transparent substrate 17, and drives the liquid crystal through the active matrix element. The liquid crystal is dispersed in macromolecules in three-dimensional net structure and a metallic reflecting plate or colored reflecting plate 16 is installed on either of the upper transparent substrate 17 and lower transparent substrate 10. |
