<p>PURPOSE:To realize a semiconductor storage device such as an EEPROM which tries to reduce write time. CONSTITUTION:The output of an X decoder 9 is connected to a word line WL of a memory cell array 1 through X latches 31 and 32 and the output of a Y decoder 10 is given to a write driver circuit 7 through an input latch 34 which is provided for each of the Y decoder 10 outputs. And a timer output signal S17 of a timer circuit 17 as a control signal, the first portion external write cycle in the write-in operation of the (I+1) cycle (I>=1) and an internal write cycle in the I cycle write operation are executed in parallel without interfering each other. A shorter write period is realized because the two cycles are executed in parallel.</p> |
