PURPOSE: To provide a signal device having stacked optical modules which adequately operate irrespective of their relative stack positions. CONSTITUTION: The signal device 14 is so constituted, as to have the stacked optical modules of different colors and is equipped with a signal path which extends through the respective optical modules and has channels; and each channel carries a state signal unique to one optical module, and the optical modules can be arranged in proper order for adequate operation. One or all of the cover plates 30-32 of the respective optical modules can be taken out of the stack of the optical modulates without detaching any optical module, and consequently, the optical modules can be repaired, and the colors and identity of the optical modules and the color of a cover plate to be replaced can be maintained. When a display made by each optical module, a data logger connected to each signal device records the replacement state, and the signal device can be managed for quick and efficient assembly. |
