WAVELENGTH SYNCHRONIZATION TYPE OPTICAL PROCESSING UNIT AND OPTICAL PATH SELECTOR USING THE SAME UNIT

PURPOSE:To obtain an output signal light with a stable wavelength with simple configuration with respect to the wavelength synchronization optical processing unit outputting a signal light synchronously with a reference light with a stable wavelength and the optical path selector using the unit. CONSTITUTION:An optical processing section 1 and a control section 2 form the wavelength synchronization optical processing unit and the optical processing section 1 receives an input signal light and a reference light. The optical processing section 1 includes an optical modulation element of an electric field absorption type modulator or the like or a wavelength conversion element of a wavelength conversion semiconductor laser or the like and the control section 2 controls a selected wavelength or a converted wavelength in the optical processing section 1. When an input signal light with a large wavelength fluctuation is inputted to the optical processing section 1, a stable output signal light whose wavelength is the same as that of the reference light synchronously with the reference light with a stable wavelength is outputted from the optical processing section 1.
