The subject of the invention is a device and a method for manufacturing and packaging disposable acupuncture needles as well as the products obtained. They consist of the combination, on the one hand, of a machine capable of manufacturing, by crimping a portion (2) of straightened and ground stainless steel at one end (4) in a sleeve of annealed brass wire, several acupuncture needles simultaneously, by virtue of a dispenser (6), including a certain number of tabs (7) for entraining the portions with a reciprocal vertical movement and, on the other hand, of a packaging bench capable of packaging a series of needles in sealed blister packs formed from a sheet of thermoformed polyethylene covered with a bonded aluminium film, the whole assembly then being sterilised using gamma rays. It is intended to permit automation of the production of sterile, disposable acupuncture needles. <IMAGE>
