[Class 142 (i)] A loom is stopped after a given length of material or number of articles has been woven by a counter A coupled to any usual warp, weft, or other stop mechanism. The counter is set to the required length or number and is driven backwards. When zero is reached a cam a attached to one of the counter wheels, moves a lever b and oscillates a shaft D carrying a pin d<1> which draws a catch d from a spring pressed lever E. This lever may close or open an electric circuit, or be connected by a wire F to a warp, weft, or other stop mechanism.</p> |
