- Method for finishing a material composed of panels based on wood fibres embedded in a mass of synthetic resin, characterised by the series of the following operations: a) at least one face, made up of the visible face of the panel, is subjected to sandblasting for the purpose of descaling the surface aiming to create on this surface microroughnesses alternating with microcavities. b) A surface-impregnating product including pigmentation in a first base (background) colour is sprayed onto the surface of the panel thus descaled by sandblasting. c) This base colour is protected by application of a first layer of a synthetic varnish. d) A second coloured layer is then applied in a different shade from the first one. e) Superficial polishing is carried out in order to remove, on the roughnesses, the second coloured layer and thus revealing the first underlying coloured layer in the zones removed at the top of the said roughnesses. f) Finally, a layer of exterior varnish for protection and finishing is laid down.
