The invention discloses a method of making friction elements (7) to be attached to the parts of a clothes hanger which are intended to support a garment. A web (1) of unextendible material is formed with a number of successive, spaced-apart carrier members (4). A friction material (5) is applied to each carrier member to form a band of interconnected friction elements. The invention also relates to a method, in the automated manufacture of clothes hangers, which uses the band of friction elements for attaching these on selected portions of the clothes hanger. The invention further relates to a band of friction elements, and to the friction elements themselves. |
