Method for manufacturing a table utensil comprising a metal tool (14) with a porcelain handle (12), characterised in that a solid handle of given shape is moulded with the aid of slurry, in which handle a reserve (18) is formed, this handle is fired on refractory supports, a tang (16) is produced, formed integrally with the metal tool and of shape complementing that of the reserve, this tang is inserted into the reserve interposing a glue (24) between the said tang and the wall of the reserve. <IMAGE>
