SELF-REPAIR TYPE IMAGE FORMING DEVICE HAVING FUNCTION REDUNDANT SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To obtain a device having high self-repairing ability by incorporating a parameter type self-repair mechanism and a function redundant system in an image forming device. CONSTITUTION:The parameter type self-repair mechanism in a parameter repair inference part 4 operates a parameter value based on the qualitative data of the device(image forming part 1) so as to repair and keep the device to be in an optimum state. In the case that a fault that parameter type fault repair is impossible is caused, the function which is substituted for the faulty function is retrieved based on a stored FBS diagram(diagram consisting of function, behavior and state). By making the substitute function retrieved appear the fault of the device is repaired.
