PURPOSE:To obtain a super-directional microphone with high pickup sound SN ratio by reducing the adverse effect of noise, mechanical vibration, and wind caused by the sound source near the microphone. CONSTITUTION:Units 1, 2, and 3 being the non-directional microphone are arranged on the same straight line so that the interval between the units 1 and 2 and that of the units 2 and 3 can be evenly spaced by 'd'. After the phase delay processing corresponding to a unit interval 'd' on the output signal of the unit 2, the first primary pressure gradient type single directional microphone is constructed by subtracting it from the output signal of the unit 1. The second single directional microphone is similarly constructed using the units 2 and 3. By taking the differential signal of the output signal of the first and second single directional microphones, the secondary pressure gradient type ultra- directional microphone can be obtained. The high frequency component of the output signal of the super-directional microphone and the low-frequency component of the output signal of the unit 1 are added at its output. |
