The ultrasonic transmitter (SE) is mounted on the vehicle to project a diverging beam in front of the vehicle and reaching to both sides of the road. The transmitter projects warning signals which cause any animals/game to stop and return to cover rather than run into the road ahead of the vehicle. The transmitter is operated via a dashboard control or automatically in danger areas. The signals are chosen with frequencies which affect the various animals. The angular spread of the signals is wider on the nearside of the road, from where the driver has least warning of animals crossing. ADVANTAGE - Reduced risk of injury to animals and vehicles; does not require elaborate fences on roadsides.
