On the base (13) of the upper spring (12) which is held to that of the spring contact, strip portions (20, 21) extend on both sides of the spring contact arms (e.g. 6), with their free ends (20', 21') bent back w.r.t. each other and to the base. The bent ends, either alone or in conjunction with connection bars (23), support the free ends of the contact arms in the rest position, with clearance forming an air gap in the contact position. An opening (22) in each strip is shaped to allow unhindered deflection of the contact arms during plugging-in. ADVANTAGE - Shaping of spring contact is mechanically robust and its assembly is suitable for automation.
