A clip blade (1) is formed as projecting portion of the lighter body, attached to the body at its upper end (2). The lower end (3) of the blade fits in between the panels of a double-walled cigarette packet. The blade may be formed integrally with the lighter body or as an attachment for an existing lighter. The blade follows the external configuration of the lighter body. If a blade is formed separately from the lighter body, a fastening ring is formed at the upper end of the blade for attachment to an upper portion of the lighter close to the burner.
