The support part (7) for the piston plate (9) has internal gearing and the end piece (8) has external gearing, or vice versa. The gearing can be produced by the cold flow pressing process which requires no subsequent finishing. The inclined direction of the gearing differs from each other to create the largest possible adjustment range with small axial displacement of the piston. A seal on the end piece or support part follows the piston movement and prevents leakage losses. It provides an effective seal between the axially displaceable piston and the component coaxially enclosed by or enclosing the piston.
