Potentiometer for converting physical parameter to electrical form - has current fed into slider, ends connected to current-voltage converter and inverter forming normalised output
摘要
The potentiometer (10) has a resistive track on which a slider (11) moved by a physical parameter slides. A current (Is) fed to the slider is divided according to the variable potentiometer resistance (R1,R2) and slider position and the resulting variable partial current or currents evaluated. At least one of the partial currents is fed from the ends (10a,10b) of the potentiometer to a current-voltage converter. For evaluation of each partial current an inversion is performed after conversion to produce a normalised, positive output voltage over the displacement range of the potentiometer. ADVANTAGE - Any transfer resistance can between potentiometer slider and resistance track can be made to appear as null without direct additional circuitry. Highly accurate measurement and evaluation are achieved using simple state-of-the-art electronic circuitry.
