<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the title gasket which prevents the leakage of a harmful free metal or oxide without fail by compounding an expansible graphite or vermiculite powder with a specific substance and press-molding the resulting compsn. CONSTITUTION:A gasket 7 for inflaters is produced by compounding an expansible graphite or vermiculite powder with at least one adsorbent substance of a metal azide decomposition gas selected from the group consisting of an acidic metal oxide, a metal halide, a metal sulfate, a metal nitrate, and a metal carbonate (e.g. silica gel) in an amt. of 5-50wt.% of the powder and press- molding the resulting compsn.</p> |
